Scope Inspection Ltd, company no. 15397270 (“Scope Inspection”, “Scope”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.


This Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data in compliance with applicable data-protection legislation when acting as data controller and, in certain circumstances, as data processor/service provider on behalf of our business customers.

1 Who this Notice covers

  • User of Company Subscriber - You were invited to use Scope’s platform by a corporate account-holder (e.g. your employer).
  • User of Communication Services - You communicate with Scope for recruitment, surveys, events or general enquiries (e-mail, forms, social media, etc.).

Where processing differs between categories, the relevant sections below say so explicitly.

2 Scope’s role

  • Controller – Scope is controller for all processing described in this Notice except when acting for a Company Subscriber.

  • Processor / Service Provider – When a Company Subscriber invites you, that organisation is controller; Scope processes data strictly under its instructions and never attempts to re-identify de-identified data.

3 How we obtain personal data

3.1 Data you give us

Examples include:

  • Creating an account or profile

  • Uploading files, videos, images, inspection forms, comments or search queries

  • Sending feedback, support tickets or e-mails

  • Job applications or event registrations

3.2 Data we collect from others

  • Your Company Subscriber (for invited users)

  • Public registers (e.g. Companies House, UC)

  • Analytics, marketing and enrichment services such as Google Analytics, LinkedIn Retargeting, etc.

5 Categories of personal data

5.1 User

Name, e-mail, username, password, identifiers, profile image, role, custom attributes.

5.2 Content

Inspection videos, photos, audio, chat, text, uploaded files, transcriptions, calendar dates, search queries, AI-chat messages, user-generated course or report content, third-party integrations.

5.3 Performance & Activity

Completion time, progress, favourites, event attendance, action logs, session metrics, cookies.

5.4 Device & Telemetry

Browser, OS, IP, locale, device type, MAC address, network and hardware stats, crash reports.

5.5 Support & Administration

Troubleshooting descriptions, billing contacts, feedback, contractual correspondence.

6 Automated decision-making

Scope Inspection does not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

7 Sharing your data

  • Company Subscriber (if applicable)

  • Subsidiaries & affiliates within the Scope group

  • Trusted service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, communications, payments, etc.) under written agreements

  • Corporate transactions – Buyer or successor during mergers, acquisitions or restructuring

  • Authorities – Where required by law or court order

We do not sell personal data.

8 International transfers

Personal data is primarily processed within the UK/EU. Where transfer to a third country occurs, Scope relies on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, explicit consent or another lawful derogation under GDPR.

9 Your rights

You may:

  1. Access the personal data we hold about you

  2. Rectify inaccuracies

  3. Erase data in specified circumstances

  4. Restrict processing pending resolution of issues

  5. Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing

  6. Withdraw consent at any time (with future effect)

  7. Data portability – receive data in machine-readable form where processing is by automated means and based on contract or consent

  8. Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

We respond within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests).

10 Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, alteration or loss. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential.

11 Children

The platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at team@getscope.ai.

12 Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate, analyse and improve our website and services. Details are set out in our separate Cookie Notice.

13 Changes to this Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
